This multimedia adventure is the perfect course for aspiring coders. Your student will create animated stories and games while learning programming concepts with Scratch. With this drag-and-drop platform developed by MIT, they'll play with sprites and blocks to set a foundation of computational thinking—an essential skill in today’s tech-driven world. We break up the day with supervised outside play, sports, and activities.
What Will Students Take Home?Students in these Scratch camps will take home .sb2 project files that can be opened both on the web and in the desktop version of Scratch.

Programming may seem technical but it should also be a blast! Experience a summer camp adventure where computer characters are at your command. This Scratch programming course for kids introduces our younger students to the essential building blocks behind object-oriented programming through creating fun, interactive stories and simple games. Students let their imaginations run wild and learn programming basics with Scratch through interactive storytelling. Kids think creatively and learn how to program their own stories, games, and animations, as well as how to share their creations on the web. Take home a copy of your own game at the end of this Scratch programming class. It could be the start of something BIG!
